Eric Blust enlisted in the Army in 1999, and served in the 2nd Ranger Battalion and the 3rd infantry Division. During his time in the military he was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom also deployed to Kosovo. After separating honorably from the military he started college at Michigan Technological University. Where he received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology. Although he did have access to the GI Bill, it was not sufficient to cover the entire cost of his education. In order to meet his financial obligation he had to take out costly educational loans. These loans coupled with the difficult job conditions in Michigan have made paying this debt difficult and has put severe financial stress on his wife and son. He currently has returned to school in order to finish a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering in order to improve his opportunities for employment. Please help this veteran as he continues in the path of education and excellence.
